First Reading of Identity Cards Bill

Re-posted from archive of infinite ideas machine 2004: [LINKS UNCHECKED]

Home Secretary David Blunkett today introduced the Identity Cards Bill in the House of Commons. Now the battle begins in earnest.

If you’ve been following my postings on ID cards, you’ll be aware of my involvement in NO2ID. With the departure of Mark Littlewood, who’s been headhunted by the Liberal Democrats to run their press office, I have been appointed national coordinator of the campaign.

I very much doubt I’ll have time to continue blogging on infinite ideas machine, but I’ll leave the site up and running as a record of how I became involved in the fight against state ID control.

For more information, and to see how we get on, please visit the NO2ID website.
